Companies
Add the legal entities your business trades as, fill in their details, and decide which locations each one takes payments for.
A company is a legal entity: the name on your customers' receipts, the tax number, and the account payouts arrive in. Most businesses have one. A group that runs a café under one company and a gym under another adds a second, and each location says which company it belongs to.
Every planHow companies fit in#
Templates, passes and members belong to your account and are shared by every company in it. What belongs to a company is its legal and money side: business details, payments, and the integrations that act in its name.

Every account starts with one company, created from the company name you gave when you signed up. How many more you can add depends on your plan.
Before you start#
- You are the account owner. Team members do not see companies.
Fill in a company's details#
- Open the company
Go to SettingsCompanies and click the company.
- Enter the legal details

If you signed up in the mobile app and entered a tax number, Walletap has already filled in the legal name, address and VAT status from the official register. Check them here.
Add a company#
- Create it
In SettingsCompanies, click Create. Enter a Company name you will recognise in the list and click Create.
- Fill in its details
Walletap opens the new company. Fill in its details as above and save.
- Move its locations to it
In SettingsLocations, open each location that belongs to the new company, choose it under Company, and click Update Location. See Locations.
When your plan's companies are all in use, Create is dimmed, with a crown badge. Clicking it offers the upgrade.
Payments and integrations per company#
Each company connects its own payment account, and the bank account that receives payouts is set there. A sale at a location is paid to the payment account of the company that location belongs to, so assign every location that sells to a company.
Integrations that act in a company's name are listed once per company in SettingsIntegrations. See:
Delete a company#
In SettingsCompanies, click the bin icon on the company's row and confirm. Move its locations to another company first: a company that still has locations cannot be deleted.
If something goes wrong#
- Cannot delete company: one or more locations are still assigned to it. Unassign locations first. Open each of its locations, change Company, and try again.
- Company not found. The company was deleted, or the link belongs to another account. Go back to SettingsCompanies.
