Walletap and MultiSport: the visit is recorded the moment the member scans the QR code

Gyms that work with MultiSport can now record MultiSport visits through Walletap. The member scans the QR code from the MultiSport app at the reader by the entrance. Walletap checks the card with MultiSport and records the visit, with no manual entry. The integration is already in daily use.
What MultiSport is
MultiSport is a sports benefit that employers give their employees. In Croatia it is run by Benefit Systems Hrvatska. A MultiSport member trains at gyms and sports facilities that work with MultiSport, and also has their card in the MultiSport app, as a virtual card with a QR code.
The gym records every MultiSport member's visit in MultiSport's system. Walletap now takes over that step.
How it works at the entrance
- The member scans the QR code. They open the MultiSport app and hold the QR code up to the reader by the entrance.
- Walletap checks the opening hours. If the gym is closed at that moment, the check-in is refused and no visit is recorded.
- MultiSport checks the card. Walletap checks the card with MultiSport in real time and records the visit. If MultiSport does not accept it, the check-in is refused.
- The check-in is confirmed. The visit is recorded in MultiSport's system.
Walletap records the visit with MultiSport only once every check on the gym's side has passed. If the check-in at the entrance still does not complete after that, Walletap cancels the visit. That way, no visit that never happened stays in MultiSport's system.
What the gym gets
- Visits are recorded automatically. When a MultiSport member scans the QR code, Walletap records the visit with MultiSport. Staff don't have to enter it by hand.
- Only real visits are recorded. Outside opening hours no visit is recorded, and Walletap cancels a visit that did not complete at the entrance.
- Nothing new for the member. A MultiSport member uses the app they already have. They need neither a new card nor a Walletap membership card.
How to connect it
Everything is set up once:
- Company. The owner connects MultiSport in Walletap's settings, with the details they get from MultiSport. Walletap checks them with MultiSport before saving them, so a mistake shows up right away rather than at the entrance. The connection belongs to the company, because the company holds the contract with MultiSport.
- Location. For each location, the owner enters its MultiSport details and chooses, for each entrance, which MultiSport service it records.
- Entrance. The entrance needs a QR reader connected to Walletap.
The MultiSport connection is available to companies in Croatia that have a contract with MultiSport.
